RIBA Online Catalogue

Summer 2008

It is worth reminding members that the Lutyens Archive, together with all the riches of the RIBA Library may be accessed online. Go to www.architecture.com and follow the links through to the Library and the online catalogue. It is easiest for drawings and archives to use the keywords box only. Please note that lower down the screen is a drop down box that isolates the department of the Library in which you wish to search. Drawings, Archives, Photographs and Articles are self explanatory. Main cat means the books and periodicals, while all means anywhere in the Library. On the whole, entries are brief but in the Drawings and Archives Collections are detailed indexes to the material and a published catalogue. The drawings and archives may be visited in the Henry Cole Wing of the Victoria and Albert Museum (Tuesday-Saturday, 10-5.00, please telephone 020-7307-3708 for an advance booking). The main Library is at 66 Portland Place, London W1, and is open Tuesdays,10-8; Wednesdays-Fridays, 10-5 and Saturday 10-1.30. Admission to the RIBA Collections is free.
