“Evolving Lutyens Buildings” – Restoration & Lutyens in London by Aimée Felton

Tuesday 8 October 2019, 6pm for 6:30pm-7:30pm

The Art Workers Guild, 6 Queens Square, Holborn, London WC1N 3AT

The Speaker

Aimée is an Associate Director at Donald Insall Associates and in May 2018 successfully delivered the £41m restoration of Temperate House at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. She has specialist experience in working on high-profile listed buildings within London and working on behalf of large estates of institutional, hospitality and arts sector clients. Aimee has recently developed the masterplan for The Bloomsbury hotel which is being implemented on a phased basis.

Aimée will be looking at the works of Lutyens within Central London commissioned by non-residential clients. An in-depth study of those buildings no longer in their original use will offer the opportunity to understand the innate capacity for change and how the buildings have adapted preserving Lutyens original intent.

Price: Lutyens Trust & Georgian Group £15 including a glass of wine.

Non-members £20, which includes a day membership fee.
