Tour of Derbyshire

The visit began in beautiful weather at Ednaston where, by kind permission of Mr Lionel Pickering, the Friends walked round the well kept gardens and admired the fine exterior of this important house. Dr Mervyn Miller was our most knowledgeable guide.

The second visit was to Easton House in Repton, a fascinating house where we received a very warm welcome and an excellent lunch from Bridget and Roger Boissier. He and Mervyn Miller led tours round the house and the interesting outbuildings. Mervyn Miller provided an excellent study of both houses for the tour.
