Christmas Lunch

Saturday, 28 November, 2015, 12.30-4pm

Taking place once more at the Bloomsbury Hotel, Great Russell Street — formerly the YWCA designed by Sir Edwin from 1928 to 1930 — the lunch will feature a tour of the building, including the former Queen Mary’s Hall, library and chapel either following or preceding it. Sir Terry Farrell CBE has kindly agreed to be our speaker at the lunch and will tell us about his views on architecture and his plans for a “Lutyens Centre” at Great Maytham Hall. The afternoon will feature an audiovisual review of the year’s visits, a pictorial quiz — to recognise Lutyens buildings — with prizes and a raffle offering more great prizes. Providing outstanding food and wine at a top venue, this lunch is not to be missed.

The cost of the full, three-course luncheon, including half a bottle of wine, is £45.

It’s advisable to book early for this popular event. Please send a stamped addressed envelope — or your email address — and a cheque for £45, which includes a £10 voluntary donation, made payable to the Lutyens Trust, to Paul Waite, 20 Ingelow House, Holland Street, London W8 4NF. For more information, email Paul at pdjwaite@hotmail.com.
