How to get here

The nearest National Rail service is Charing Cross & Waterloo/Waterloo East. Portcullis House is a 10-15 minute walk from Charing Cross Station. Alternatively please use the Circle & District or Jubilee line to Westminster Underground, which is located directly underneath Portcullis House.

There is no parking available on the site.

We shall be meeting at the statue of King George V, on the lawn opposite the entrance of the House of Lords, on the south end of Westminster Abbey.

Please note that attendees will be required to go through airport-style security upon arrival, so please pack bags with care. Photographic ID will not be required.

Restoration & Renewal of The Houses of Parliament

By kind permission of Julian Flannery, architectural lead for the restoration and renewal programme, members of the Lutyens Trust have been invited to attend a one-off tour of the Houses of Parliament as the six year project begins. We will also be joined by Claire Reed, the Historic Collections Manager for the project.

Members can also visit the Gift Shop, where they can purchase Minton Encaustic Tiles which have been removed from the Palace of Westminster and replaced with the 3rd generation since the building opened in 1870.

The tour takes places between 9:30am-11:30am at which point the Trust invites you on a pilgrimage to visit The Cenotaph, followed by an informal visit to 196a Piccadilly (former Midland Bank) where you can enjoy a beverage at The Swan Bar within Maison Assouline.
